Spring Trends
As the weather is hotting up it is important to know what trends we should be following when it comes to our feet this Spring/Summer. Women’s shoes all over the high street have a variety of different trends going on. So what should we really be wearing?
When it comes to sandals the gladiator hasn’t gone out of fashion yet, although it has been brought up to date for this season. Pair them up with the other trend of bright patterns for a look with plenty of impact. Maybe take inspiration from Prada and wear quirky fruit patterns throughout spring. Or if you prefer the ‘rock chick’ look you could take inspiration from Givenchy and team up your sandals with some wild leopard print.
Another trend this spring/summer for women’s shoes is pop colours. We can see them everywhere from designer brands to the high street. This was brought back in a big way by Jil Sander, whose colour blocking created quite stir in the fashion world. Pair your coloured heels with some coloured ankle grazing jeans for a fresh and trendy look. Or you could team it up with a skirt and a simple white vest for a simple but chic look. If you want to dress this up for the evening you could team your heels with a brightly coloured maxi dress which will keep you cool on those hot balmy nights.
Another trend which isn’t going anywhere is the wedge shoe; favoured by many women because of the comfort factor. You can actually have height without crippling your feet. There are many different variations out there to choose from. Some with a wooden heel, a cork heel or even espadrille style wedges. At Charles Anastase towering wedges were seen complete with wooden block heel; perhaps not the typical height for everyone but a work of art none the less.
